Fort Lohgad

                  Lohagad fort is a formidable fort near Pune. Lohagad makes an ideal trekking destination for trekkers from Pune because of its accesibility, ease of the trek and lush green surroundings. Lohagad is 3400 feet high and is a very wide spread fort. There are 4 doors to Lohagad from the nearby village Lohagadwadi. Lohagad divides the basins of the Indrayani and Pavna and is situated the Sahaydris.

How to reach : Lohagad is situated about 5 Km. from Malavali station. First one should reach Lonavala by any Central-Southern mail/express, catch a local train from Lonavala to Malavali. From Malavali one can catch a rickshaw to Bhaje village. 1½ hours walk from Bhaje will lead to Lohgadwadi.15 min walk from Lohgadwadi will take you to the top.

Thoseghar waterfalls

                In Monsoon season one of the most attractive place to visit is waterfall, fortunatly I got a chance to visit one at Thoseghar. Thoseghar is very famous for it's high Waterfalls. Total there are three waterfalls, These Waterfalls are very attractive and creates a loud noise in the calm nature.
Main waterfall
                These waterfalls are also accompanied by a clean lake, dark woods, near from Satara (around 25 km) and a clam and quite newly developing picnic spot. Thoseghar is really a wonderful place where you can enjoy the beauty of the nature. The best season to visit Thoseghar and enjoy is between July to November. On the way you can find road to Sajjangad

How to Go : Limited ST buses are available from Satara (Rajwada bus station) but it is recommended that travel by your own vehicle.
